Animatics from Greece
The iBIBLE team in Greece is growing, and new animatics are underway. Today, we are going to show you some of the exciting art coming from our newest iBIBLE team. Several animatics are in process, bridging the gap between script writing and animation. Here is a peek into the process of creating animatics.
Once the script is finalized, (for more insight on script development, review this behind-the-scenes email) it is delivered to the team of artists in Greece. The first thing the team does is create a round of stick figure art to provide a rough idea of what the shots will look like. These are from iBIBLE Chapter 9: Abram to Abraham.
Next, the rough images are strung together and placed over the audio. This creates a rough guide for the episode that is then reviewed by the producer and executive producer. Some of the questions considered during this review process are: Who is on the screen? How will motion be implemented? What visual effects will support the story? What props and components are mentioned in Scripture? Does every element represent the story as it is told in the Bible? While the sketched scenes and audio of the animatic are reviewed, the artists are hard at work on the next animatic in development. Here are some images from iBIBLE Chapter 10: Lot & Sodom.
Once edits are returned to the animatics team, more details are added including body posture, facial expressions, and props. This more detailed art is what the line artists, coloring team, and animators will use to build what is seen in the completed chapters of iBIBLE. Here are some of the more detailed images from the animatic of iBIBLE Chapter 7: The Call of Abram.
All of this takes place while the research, scripts, animation, scoring, and review of other iBIBLE components continue. As the iBIBLE team works together, more of the Divine narrative weaves together for the world to hear God's story. And, as the animatics are completed, we will share them in future behind-the-scenes emails for you to enjoy!
As you can see, the iBIBLE team is hard at work in order to bring the completed chapters of Genesis to you and the global missions community for FREE. Prayerfully consider a generous donation today to help support our efforts to script, illustrate, animate, produce, and distribute iBIBLE. Thank you for your continued support, and please continue to pray as we work to bring God’s Divine narrative to the world.
