Pilate's Place
Pontius Pilate, who would eventually approve of Jesus’ crucifixion, did not want to be the Roman governor of Israel. But Israel is what he got, and he inherited a country with a long, rich history, now conquered by the world’s strongest empire, and with a lot of upheaval due to a mysterious man from Nazareth named Jesus.
Pilate lived in Jerusalem, and the art team at RevelationMedia has created 3D models of his estate there. One of the exciting challenges here was getting the foliage right. These renderings have gone through several versions just to get the trees and shrubs correctly identified and modeled.
Here is an outside view of Pilate’s estate, surrounded by plenty of olive and pine trees that were and are common to the area.
Next, here is a moving GIF showing a crystal clear view of the courtyard and the palm, olive, and pine trees growing throughout.
This next GIF pans over to show more of the building itself.
