The City of Rome
The Gospel Narrative occurred when the land of Israel was occupied by the Roman Empire, one of the largest imperial forces in human history. Many people in Israel were hoping the Messiah would save them from the tyranny of Rome. Jesus, however, brought a different kind of kingdom. Below, see the 3D-rendered images of the city of Rome, which will be featured in the upcoming iBIBLE Life of Christ.
This is the interior of a Roman household in the city.
Next is a broader view of a square with a statue at the center, depicting street walks and other households. (Keep in mind this is still an early rendering of the scene.)
Finally, here is a closer outside view of another Roman villa, with rugged mountains forming the backdrop. The Mediterranean climate made this an enviable place to live.
