The Cliff Outside Nazareth
When Jesus visited His hometown of Nazareth and read from the scroll of Isaiah, He told them that the reading had been fulfilled in their presence (Luke 4:21b). Jesus was declaring Himself as the fulfillment of an Old Testament prophecy. Even though He was in His hometown, the local residents of Nazareth were infuriated by this, and drove Jesus all the way to the edge of a cliff. However, Jesus stepped through the crowd unharmed (Luke 4:28-30).
This is a look at that cliff, rendered in 3D. People from Nazareth tried to push Jesus off of its edge.
Next is a moving GIF showing the surrounding landscape leading up to the precipice. The terrain was dry and rocky, as shown in vivid detail using the new 3D animation style.
