A Crucial Step in the Animating Process: Color Grading
iBIBLE Life of Christ, a 3D-animated rendering of the Gospel Narrative, is currently being color graded to help bring the visual details fully to life! The process of bringing God’s Grand Narrative to life involves multiple steps, and at RevelationMedia, we believe iBIBLE should be as vivid, detailed, and richly colored and textured as possible.
Color grading takes flat characters and scenes and adds depth, shape, and, of course, color. Color grading is an essential part in the creation of any professional film. The process involves enhancing shapes, colors, and other visual elements on the screen. Color grading also helps create very specific moods in film as well. Some movies are dark and shadowy, others bright and colorful. For iBIBLE, color grading is important since colors deeply impact a viewer’s emotions. This week, see how the art team at RevelationMedia is bringing iBIBLE Life of Christ to life through color grading.
This first image shows the color grading workspace in the animation software.
In this GIF, witness how drastically this scene transforms after it’s been color graded. Adding this artistic touch to the entire iBIBLE project gives it a sense of harmony and continuity. We are so excited to be able to share more with you soon!
Thank you for joining us as we seek to produce and distribute iBIBLE Life of Christ! iBIBLE is the world’s first visual and interactive presentation of God’s Word, and this is simply the next step in bringing the Biblical Narrative to people all around the world for free. Just next week, we are releasing The Real Story of Christmas, a short iBIBLE episode about the birth of Christ the King with a chance to pray for salvation at the end.
