Animating People: Ruth
RevelationMedia is continuing to design settings and characters for our upcoming 3D-animated iBIBLE: Life of Christ. This week, learn more about the creation of Ruth for Jesus’ genealogy through a look at how our artists and animators use research to meticulously craft each element of the story. Each scene of iBIBLE is carefully researched and designed piece-by-piece to be as accurate and engaging as possible.
This first image shows the preliminary research and design for Ruth’s clothing. In Bible times, adults would wear a plain robe as a base, and then would have another robe/cloak over top secured with a fabric belt. Additionally, women would normally wear a veil or head covering.
After the animator or artist creates the initial designs, the concepts go through several rounds of edits for accuracy, look, and overall design. This next image shows some of the detail work, including slightly changing the color of Ruth’s head covering.
Lastly, in this image, you can see the final design for Ruth’s clothing with all edits and corrections. Notice the updated color of her head covering and the cloak with the fabric belt all incorporated into the final design.
Thank you so much for supporting iBIBLE! We are currently in the process of building and animating iBIBLE Life of Christ, the next installment of the world’s very first animated presentation of God’s Divine Narrative.
Prayerfully consider partnering with us so we can continue creating quality Christian content to distribute to the global missions community for free.
