The Angel Gabriel
Gabriel, the angel God sent to tell Mary she would carry the Son of God, is a key character in the Christmas narrative. Gabriel also appeared to the shepherds outside of Bethlehem, as recounted in Luke 2, telling them to not be afraid and declaring to them that Christ was born. As we look forward to Christmas, see the 3D model of the angel Gabriel in this behind-the-scenes glimpse into the making of iBIBLE Life of Christ.
This first image shows a very early rendering of the outline of Gabriel’s head and shoulders. We are given no description of Gabriel’s physical features in Scripture, so these designs are speculative.
Next shows a close-up 3D image of Gabriel’s angelic dress.
And here is a multi-shot view of the angel Gabriel in the garb shown in the first image. Gabriel was the being who first heralded the message of Christ’s birth, declaring good news and tidings of great joy for all people.
Finally, here is the angel Gabriel in action in our new special episode The Real Story of Christmas announcing to the shepherds in the fields near Bethlehem that Jesus has been born.
