The Voice Crying Out in the Wilderness
In this week’s behind-the-scenes glimpse into the making of iBIBLE, see the dramatic images of John the Baptist, drawn in iBIBLE’s unique prophetic/dream style, from episode 2 of the iBIBLE New Testament series. Although RevelationMedia is moving to a new 3D style animation, the prophetic/dream style will still be featured in the iBIBLE New Testament episodes.
This first image is a close look of John the Baptist passionately addressing a multitude of people, the "voice crying out in the wilderness" (John 1:23) to prepare hearts to receive the coming Messiah.
John's father Zechariah prophesied in Luke 1:68–79 that John would play a significant part in declaring the coming Kingdom of God. He would call people to repent and preach about Jesus. The orb of light surrounding John’s head calls attention to his special anointing to announce the coming of the Christ. Below, you can also see people standing in and near the Jordan River, waiting to be baptized.
This final prophetic image emphasizes John’s pronouncement of judgment against the hypocrisy of the religious leaders of the day. John warned of the “wrath to come” (Matthew 3:7) for those who would reject the Son of God.
